What do search firms and human resources directors look for when screening candidates? Richard Bond, owner of Westport-based Bond & Company Executive Recruiting and Search, will address this question in a presentation at The Wharton Alumni Club of New York’s Career Speaker Series. He will be joined by Josh Friedlander, who is Chief Human Resources Officer for Latham & Watkins, LLP.
In their talk, “Search Firms vs. Human Resources: How to Navigate Them Successfully,” Bond and Friedlander will delve into the similarities and differences between their professions. “At networking events and cocktail parties, people tell me that they are getting contradictory advice about how to approach HR vs search firms,” said Mr. Bond. “Josh and I knew we could present both sides of the story and help a lot of job seekers understand the screening and interviewing process.
“We’ll also give attendees some solid advice. Candidates often don’t know what actions they can take to turn themselves from ‘possible hires’ to ‘probable hires’. We’re going to give attendees that insight,” added Bond.
