Broadway and Disney Music Director, David Friedman to hold Vocal Performance Workshop at the Performing Arts Conservatory

David Friedman will give a vocal performance workshop at the Performing Arts Conservatory on Saturday, November 12. He will have two sessions, one for 8th -12th grade students and one for elementary school age students. David was the music director for the Broadway productions of Beauty and The Beast, Grease, Joseph and Song and Dance. He was also the conductor and vocal arranger on the Disney classics, Aladdin, Pocahontas, The Hunchback of Notre Dame and Beauty and The Beast. As a record producer and songwriter, David has his own company, MIDDLER Music Records. David’s songs have been sung and recorded by artists such as Diana Ross, Barry Manilow, Petula Clark and Lucie Arnaz.
David is currently doing a pre-Broadway run of a new musical, Saving Aimee at the Fifth Avenue Theatre in Seattle working with Kathie Lee Gifford who wrote the book and lyrics. He recently finished a production of Listen to My Heart, Songs of David Friedman to sold out houses in Tampa.
David’s book, “The Thought Exchange”, Overcoming Our resistance to Living a Sensational Life, which he created and teaches all over the U.S. is now available. “David always brings the best out of our students. Conservatory students attending the workshop range in age from 8 to 18. They take a voice lesson each week with one of the professional voice teachers and round out their performance skills with a music theatre, acting and/or dance class taught at the Conservatory. David’s workshop beautifully fulfills the mission of the Performing Arts Conservatory, to awaken, nurture and train each student’s creative potential by offering professional training, workshops and performance opportunities. These skills offer a lifetime of artistic expression and appreciation.
