Local Businesswoman Announces Opening of Bridal Boutique – New York Quality with Convenient Darien Location

A Little Something White Bridal Couture is a new, luxury bridal boutique located in Darien, CT. Catering to brides in Connecticut, Westchester County, and the surrounding areas, A Little Something White offers an exquisite selection of bridal gowns and accessories as well as gorgeous dresses for bridesmaids, flower girls, and special occasions. The shop opened for business on September 10^th.

Ashley Krauss, owner of A Little Something White, selected Darien as the optimal location for her business after doing an enormous amount of research about the Fairfield County market. Until now, brides in lower Fairfield County often felt the need to travel to New York City in order to find enough of a selection of bridal gowns. By situating the business right off of I-95 in a location that is halfway between Greenwich and Fairfield, A Little Something White is in an incredibly convenient location for all brides in this area. Thus far, it seems as though brides agree. Krauss says, “We have been incredibly busy during our first three weeks of business and most days have been completely booked with appointments. We are absolutely thrilled with the response we have received, and it is so fulfilling to see brides finding their dream dress in our boutique.”

While Krauss, who lives in Wilton, had high hopes for her business during the planning phase, she never envisioned that her boutique would be housed in such a beautiful place. She explains, “I was fortunate to secure the second floor of 1292 Post Road, a gorgeous new building designed by Darien-based Penny Glassmeyer of PG Properties. It is more than I could have ever dreamed of for A Little Something White, and the response we have gotten from customers has been incredibly positive.” The high-end bridal boutique is exquisite, with a vaulted ceiling set off by a huge skylight and hanging chandelier.  Abundant natural light helps brides get a more realistic view of what they will look like on their wedding day.

As a high-end bridal boutique, A Little Something White offers gowns, dresses, and accessories that are of superior quality, excellent value, and tremendous craftsmanship. However, Krauss emphasizes that while her merchandise is exquisite, the feeling in the store is one of relaxation and positivity, not pretentiousness. “I wanted to create a shopping experience for brides where they know they are getting a superior product while dealing with people that are incredibly nice, helpful, and positive. Too often I speak to brides that are happy with their gown but upset with the experience, and I find that truly unfortunate, especially with something that is one of the most important purchases of their lives.” What that means is that when working with A Little Something White, brides can expect to find a beautiful gown, excellent customer service, and a memorable and positive experience.
