Anne Carroll White, 86; New Canaan Resident Who Enjoyed Painting, Volunteering
A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 28.

Anne Carroll White, of New Canaan, passed away peacefully at her residence on Aug. 25, 2014. She was 86.
Anne was born on July 18, 1928 in New York City to the late Dr. Frank J. and Mary Barry Carroll.

She graduated from Mount St. Vincent College in New York in 1948 at which time she met William White to whom she would marry. They were married for almost 50 years before his death in 1999.
Anne was a talented artist who loved to paint. She also ran the theatre group for the Suburbanites group of New Canaan. She volunteered for many years for both Meals-on-Wheels and the Village at Waveny Care Center in New Canaan.

Anne is survived by three daughters, Susan Tedesco and her husband John, of New Canaan, Nancy Fox and her husband Joseph, of New Jersey, and Maryclare Marteau and her husband Laurent, of Barcelona, Spain; two sons, William J. White Jr. and his wife Janet, of New Jersey, and John White and his wife Katherine, of Winston Salem, NC; 16 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 28 at St. Aloysius Church, New Canaan. Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery.
