Forbes surveyed college interns, and 91% indicated that connections landed their internship, 43% of those being family connections. She Works aims to provide internship equality and close the female leadership gap. The program equips diverse young women with career readiness and connects them with internships at companies that demonstrate female leadership. Skills gained through the program include resume building, interviewing, networking, and public speaking. Post-program, 97% of interns “know how to use networking to develop professional relationships” and 94.3% agree “I feel confident speaking up in work situations that make me feel uncomfortable.”

SHE WORKS Interns complete a robust career-readiness training program before completing a 100-hour internship. Participating employers include 1843 Capital, AXA XL, Hayvn, HTG Investment Advisors, Refinitiv, STAR Inc., and the Women's Business Development Council. Felicia Rubinstein, Founder of Hayvn explained why this program is so important. “The evidence is clear: diversity significantly improves business performance,” Rubinstein said. “SHE WORKS is building a diverse talent pipeline.”
