Back To School: New Canaan 2022-23 School Calendar

NEW CANAAN, CT — The summer is beginning to come to a close and parents are already back-to-school planning in New Canaan. An essential component to that is school calendars to help parents prepare for the first day in New Canaan.

The first day of school for New Canaan students is Monday, Aug. 29.

Here is the list of dates to know for this school year:

New Canaan Schools

• First Day: Monday, Aug. 29
• Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 23 (half day). Nov. 24 and 25 no school.
• Winter Holiday Break: Dec. 23 (half day). Dec. 26 - Jan. 2 no school
• President's Day and Winter Recess: Feb. 20-24, no school
• Spring Break: April 7-14, no school
• Last Day: June 14 (half day).

"Students, parents and staff should be aware that the April vacation may be shortened if there are more than 7 snow days. The school year may also be extended to as late as June 30th in the event of unanticipated closures due to weather or other factors," district officials said.
