Scout Award Event honoring leaders from New Canaan, Darien and Stamford. December 6, 2017 at Stamford Marriott Hotel and Spa.

Stamford, December 6, 2017—The Connecticut Yankee Council, Boy Scouts of America is pleased to announce the following 2017 honorees for their 23rd Annual Greater Stamford Good Scout Award Dinner. Grant Evans, Scoutmaster Troop 53, Darien; Keith Simpson, President, Keith E. Simpson Associates, LLC and David Yika, Vice President, Greater Stamford Hispanic Chamber of Commerce will be recognized at a dinner on December 6, at the Stamford Marriott Hotel and Spa at 6:00 pm.

This yearly event recognizes individuals who have demonstrated a commitment to the community through service to others and who exhibit the ideals of the Boy Scouts of America. Past recipients have included leaders in politics, business and education in the surrounding community. The event raises funds for our “All Markets” program which sends “at risk” youth to our three summer camps and helps to provide quality programming to more than 10,000 youth in Fairfield and New Haven counties.

Those interested in attending the function and supporting the Boy Scouts of America can do so by visiting www.ctyankee.org/stamford or by contacting Elsie.hemmings@scouting.org.
