Join us on Friday, May 15th at 6:30pm for a festive concert to kick-off the summer season!

Acabella was founded in 2001 and currently comprises 14 women from the Lower Fairfield County area. The group is named Acabella, which combines the musical term, a cappella, which means unaccompanied by musical instruments, and bella, the Italian word for beautiful.  The group is currently directed by Heather Raker, one of its founders, and Carolyn Woodberry, who has been singing with the group since its inception.

Reception at 6:30pm, concert begins at 7pm.  Featuring opening performance by the "Conn Artists."

Acabella has performed at numerous local fundraisers, the Darien Arts Center, the Darien Library, country club events, senior centers, preschools and private parties.

The Conn Artists is a highly acclaimed seven-member men's a cappella group based out of Fairfield, Connecticut.  With a diverse repretoire, the group moves with ease from Duke Ellington to madrigals to a haunting folk-ballad arrangement of seventies hit  "Billy Don't Be a Hero."
