Presented by the Carriage Barn Arts Center, the 4th annual event will be held Sunday October 11 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the park and feature fine art photographers, a diverse mix of jewelry designers and painters ranging from abstract to landscapes, mixed media to three dimensional and more.
Also on display will be block printed textiles, ceramics, hand-poured candles, clothing, stationery, paper products and ornaments, offering a complete range of sizes and price points for guests.
Guests can also enjoy live music and performances, from Bluegrass band the Parkway Ramblers, New Canaan Town Brass and many others, as well as a preview of the Connecticut Stage Company's upcoming production of "My Fair Lady". Dance performances by New England Academy of Dance and their professional company, Thomas Ortiz Dance will be a new addition to the entertainment this year.
There will also be fun family activities & crafts and various food and beverage options including Mobile Pie, Taco Tequila, Farmer's Grind Coffee, So Fresh Doughnuts and the South Norwalk Ice Cream Truck.
A Young Entrepreneurs Marketplace will also return to this year's festival, providing 30 kids and teens ages 9-17 an opportunity to showcase their businesses and products.
The majority of these artists and artisans are from New Canaan and the surrounding towns in the community. The same goes for the performers and food vendors, so this is a great way to support the creative community and a great way for the Carriage Barn Arts Center to highlight what we're all about. The goal in producing this arts festival is to connect people with the arts and celebrate creativity.
Come out with your family & friends and have a great day in the park supporting your local community!

ROUNDING THIRD by Richard Dresser is the first of our OCTOBER special weekend shows. The comedy is performed with scripts-in-hand. Rounding Third describes the humorous journey of two Little League coaches through an entire season, from their first tentative meeting to the climactic championship game. Don is the tough, blue-collar, win-at-all-costs veteran coach whose son is the star pitcher. Michael is a newcomer both to the town and to baseball. He's a corporate executive who agrees to be Don's assistant because he wants a special activity with his son, who's never played baseball before. Butting heads doesn't just happen on the field!
ONE WEEKEND ONLY!
"BASEBALL COMEDY ROUNDING THIRD HITS A HOMER" - Detroit Free Press
"ROUNDING THIRD IS STRONG ON FUN" - Seattle Post-Intelligencer
PEN PALS by Michael Griffo is the second of our OCTOBER special weekend shows. Direct from its celebrated run off-Broadway, Pen Pals is the extraordinary story of two best friends who have never met. The minimalist two-woman show, revolving around letter readings, is a delightful, heartwarming, funny, moving, character-driven play that spans decades, touching on adolescence, marriage, career milestones, children, and significant tragedies. Bernie and Mags live in two different countries, and have been pen pals for over fifty years. Since they were teenagers, they’ve shared every aspect of their lives with each other. They’ve told each other things they wouldn’t dare tell another soul. Through their letters, they are closer to each other than anyone else in the world. The play has drawn consistent praise for its heart and poignant reflections on aging and female connection. Fans of A.R. Gurney's Love Letters will find a familiar warmth here.
ONE WEEKEND ONLY!

James Beard award-winning sommelier Cha McCoy and author Layla Schlack, creators of Wine Pairing for the People, will join us at the library for a conversation blending wine knowledge with an anthropological perspective and a side of aspirational armchair travel. Cha knows that good foods and wines go together and that the cuisines of Africa, Asia, and the Americas are just as worthy of great pours.
Join us for a lively discussion around this first-of-its-kind guide.
