Car Stolen, Items Taken In New Canaan: Police
A BMW was recently reported stolen from a home in New Canaan, according to police.
NEW CANAAN, CT — A 2021 BMW X7 was reported stolen from a New Canaan home Saturday morning, according to police.
In a news release, Chief Leon Krolikowski said the owner told officers the car was last seen parked at the home, located on Orchard Drive, around 8:30 p.m. Friday night. The car was locked and the keys were not inside the vehicle at the time of the theft, Krolikowski said.
The vehicle was equipped with a GPS tracking unit, and officers were able to track and recover the vehicle in Waterbury, Krolikowski said.

Krolikowski also noted officers recently responded to reports of unlocked vehicles entered and items stolen on Hickok Road, Bayberry Road and Greenley Road. Stolen items included a woman’s jacket, a manual for one of the vehicles a vehicle's registration and an insurance card.
