Career Transitioning Panel Discussion Held At The Country School

For mothers interested in networking, re-entering the workforce.

NEW CANAAN, CT — From New Canaan Country School: New Canaan Country School’s Mothers at Work group held a Career Transitioning Panel Discussion for mothers interested in professional networking, re-entering the workforce or exploring job-changing opportunities, Feb. 5 on campus.

“As companies increasingly make gender diversity a top priority, there is no better time than now to be a
woman in the workplace,” said panel moderator Susanna Nichols, Founding Partner, Amity Search Partners and Country School parent.

Additional parent-panelists included Yolanda Coffield, Partner, Price Waterhouse Coopers Employment Law Group; Laura Pollock, Founding Partner, Third Partners; Rebecca Thornton ’92, Consultant, Spencer Stuart, Board Practice and Janelle Wideman, Senior HR Generalist, Sikorsky Aircraft.

“The Parents’ Association Mothers at Work group (“MAWs”) aims to foster a stronger sense of community
within Country School for working mothers by providing them with more opportunities to connect with other mothers, creating an open and supportive environment, and sharing knowledge and skills of working mothers with the greater Country School community,” said Marisa DiBiasio, President of the 2017-2018 Parents’ Association.

In addition to presenting the evening’s panel discussion, MAWs Co-Chairs Jenny Harrington of Norwalk and Jennifer Millones of Darien plan evening meetings for working mothers throughout the year.
