Chinese Language School of Connecticut's Mandarin Club is running for the second year at NCCS!

CLSC Mandarin Club at New Canaan Country School runs for the Second year!

Prior to each week's Mandarin Club meeting at the New Canaan Country School, students sit down to have a healthy snack during which topics from herbal medicine to the latest Kung-fu movie are discussed.

Once the students are finished with vocabulary, sentence structure and pronunciation, color pencils and markers are brought out to design the faces and creatures on the large blank game board and game money placed in the middle of the table. "Can we make $10,000 dollar bills?" asked Noah whose ambition is to win the game in the first round.

The noise level in the classroom increases with the level excitement. Once each square on the game board is complete, color markers allows the animated characters come alive. The game currency is clutched in anticipation in everyone's hand before the game begins. "I am going to win!" Shouts Gavin in Chinese.
