JumpStart Algebra 2 is led by St. Luke's Upper School Math Department Chair, Mary Frederick, a.k.a. Coach Fred. The Coach will get students in shape with a review of major concepts from Algebra 1—concepts students need to master for success in Algebra 2. These include linear functions, systems of equations and quadratic functions. There is heavy emphasis on fractional equations, graphing, and factoring quadratics. The course is designed for many levels of review and requires minimal homework for practice and review. Students will leave with a practical guide to refer back to as they delve deep into these topics in the first semester of Algebra 2. Start the year with confidence.
