Counterfeit $100 Bills Passed at New Canaan Walgreens
Police are searching for two suspects.

Police are investigating after it was discovered that phony $100 bills were passed at the Walgreens on Pine Street.
Police were called shortly before 8 p.m. on May 9 by a manager at the store.
Officers confirmed the bills were counterfeit because they didn’t feel like real money paper and two bills had the same serial number.

Two males in their 20’s came into the store separately after 6 p.m. and each purchased a $500 gift card, police said.
Police and Walgreens are looking at video surveillance for specific suspect descriptions.
