Coyote Charges Dog in New Canaan
The coyote ran toward a dog in Waveny. Police warn residents to keep their dogs leashed as a precaution.
NEW CANAAN, CT- Police are warning residents to keep dogs leashed at Waveny after a coyote reportedly charged a dog.
A resident reported the incident to police on April 22 and said the coyote ran toward his leashed dog, according to he New Canaanite.
Charging is an unusual behavior and could mean the animal is unhealthy or a den is in the area and the animal is more protective of its offspring.
