CPA Roy Abramowitz Exploring Run For New Canaan Town Council: Report
Abramowitz and his family have lived in New Canaan for 21 years, and he has run for office before.

NEW CANAAN, CT — Certified Public Accountant, and 21-year New Canaan resident, Roy Abramowitz is "exploring a run for Town Council," he writes in an op-ed in the New Canaan Advertiser.
Should he follow through with a candidacy, this will not be Abramowitz's first run for the Town Council. In 2013, he ran unsuccessfully for a seat, following an effort to be appointed to a vacant position.
That effort was temporarily derailed after he pulled out of consideration because of an email critical of him that was sent to other public officials by resident Michael Farrell. Abramowitz refuted Farrell's claims.

The 2013 experience apparently soured him on politics for a while, with Abramowitz telling the Advertiser that he was finished with campaigns, but he is back, in part because he believes his extensive financial background would be a benefit to the town and the Council.
