Craigslist Painter Scammed Client: New Canaan PD
The man signed a contract and took a deposit, but never started work, police said.

NEW CANAAN, CT — A New Canaan man was bilked out of $1,900 after a Stamford man failed to paint his house.
The resident contacted Wesley Kendall, 53, through Craigslist in August 2015. Kendall and the victim signed a contract that called for a deposit of $1,900, but Kendall never painted the home, police said.
The victim contacted police in December 2015.

Kendall was charged with fourth-degree larceny and other criminal charges.
