Crews Prep Installation Of Temporary Bridge On New Canaan's Jelliff Mill Road

Work began Wednesday evening.

NEW CANAAN, CT — Construction work began Wednesday evening to prepare for a temporary bridge on Jelliff Mill Road in New Canaan, according to town officials.

"Motorists should expect delays starting this evening, June 7, 2017, as the new temporary signaling will be operational," wrote officials on the town's websitetown's website Wednesday.

A new work zone will be established to prepare for the installation, and "delays are expected as the public acquaints itself to the change to one-way alternating traffic."

Various versions of this one-way traffic pattern will be in place until the Summer of 2018, officials added.
