Domestic Disturbance Ends In Arrest Of New Canaan Man: Police

The incident was reported late Tuesday night, according to authorities.

NEW CANAAN, CT — A 49-year-old New Canaan man was arrested on charges of assault and related violations early Wednesday following what New Canaan police said was a "domestic disturbance" at a residence on Tobys Lane.

The incident between occupants of the home was initially reported at about 11:15 p.m. Tuesday.

Details of the case were not disclosed, but following an investigation, Michael Leeds, of Tobys Lane, was taken into custody at about 1:30 a.m. on Wednesday and charged with third-degree assault, first-degree reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct.

Leeds was held in lieu of bail of $5,000, and he is scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on Wednesday.
