Downed Trees Halt Rail Service

New Canaan line disrupted for more than four hours

A power outage caused by trees which fell in the area of Talmadge Hill shut down train service on Metro-North's New Canaan branch from 8:56 a.m. this morning to 1:38 p.m.

Metro North began bus service at about 9:30 a.m., a spokesman said. It lasted until train service was restored.
