Driver Cited After Dump Truck Spills Load in New Canaan

The driver of a truck that spilled its load on Elm Place last week after rolling over was cited by police.
The accident happened as the driver was turning on a downward curved road, police said.
The truck’s load of construction debris spilled when the truck tipped over.

About 20 feet of curb and a swath of landscape were damaged in the accident, police said. Two holes were left in the pavement.
City Carting helped clear the area of debris and removed the damaged container. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
