The Japan Society of Fairfield County will celebrate the New Year with a Japanese Oshogatsu festival at Plum Tree Japanese Restaurant. Programs for the afternoon includes a traditional Japanese New Year's meal and an osechi-ryori meal consisting of traditional lacquer boxed dishes. The celebrations will also include koto player Michie Kumagai in addition to traditional Japanese dancing by Kyoko Ohnishi of Soke-Fujimaryu.
