New Canaan, CT – (March 11, 2013) – The New Canaan Republican Town Committee will hold its 7th annual Lincoln Dinner on Friday, April 5th, at 7pm at the Woodway Country Club.

Rich Lowry, editor of National Review magazine, syndicated columnist and Fox News commentator, will be the keynote speaker at the dinner. In addition to addressing the current political landscape and state of the GOP, he will also discuss his new book about President Lincoln, Lincoln Unbound.
Lowry joined William F. Buckley’s National Review in 1992 and has been the magazine’s editor since 1997. He has written for the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, the Los Angeles Times, and a variety of other publications. He is also a columnist for Politico.
Lowry appears regularly on the Fox New Channel, where he is a contributor, and is a frequent guest panelist on PBS’s The McLaughlin Group, Fox News Watch and NBC’s Meet the Press. He is also the author of the New York Times best-seller Legacy: Paying the Price for the Clinton Years and co-author (with Keith Korman) of the novel Banquo’s Ghosts. A graduate of the University of Virginia, Lowry is married to the former Vanessa Palo, whose family lives in New Canaan.
The Honorary Chairman for this year’s Lincoln Dinner is The Honorable Tom O’Dea, State Representative for the 125th District covering New Canaan and Wilton.
The Lincoln Dinner is the primary fundraising event for the New Canaan Republican Town Committee, providing funds to help elect Republicans on the local, state and national levels, and also serves as the annual meeting of New Canaan Republicans.
