“Breaking the Cycle: Employment Vital to Keeping Ex-offenders Out of Prison”.
The Senior Men’s Club of New Canaan is pleased to host Career Resources on Friday, February 18th at St. Mark’s Church at 10 AM. Career Resources is a non-profit work force development agency in Bridgeport, CT that finds jobs for ex-offenders. They provide meaningful tools, resources, and the necessary support for personal development, economic self-sufficiency and career advancement for qualified ex-offenders. People who have been incarcerated get personal assistance accessing needed services, personal training and education and finding sustaining work. For some people a job is more than an income - it is an important part of who they are. Representing Career Resources will be Robert Stokes, an Employment Specialist and Senior Job Developer. In addition to his storied CV, he is extremely knowledgeable and experienced in the area of prison ministry and its many aspects. Stephanie Urdang, Senior Staff, Business Services Specialist at Career Resources, will join Bob. Stephanie is an experienced professional with extensive management and sales experience.
