Exchange Club of New Canaan Grant to Liberation Programs Supports Families in Recovery

The Exchange Club of New Canaan recently presented a $3,000 grant to Liberation Programs to support its Families in Recovery Program in Norwalk. Families in Recovery (FIRP) is unique as it is the only inpatient substance abuse treatment program serving parenting and pregnant women in Fairfield County. The grant will be used to help mothers overcome their substance abuse problems and acquire the skills and resources they need to provide safe, nurturing homes for their children.

The Exchange Club of New Canaan was chartered in 1952 as a local chapter of the National Exchange Club, which is the oldest service organization in the country. The Exchange Club of New Canaan donates to local non-profit charities, supports local organizations in their fundraising efforts, and participates in community events.

Alan Mathis, Liberation Programs’ President and CEO will be the guest speaker when the Exchange Club of New Canaan meets on September 20, 2016 at the Roger Sherman Inn in New Canaan.
