Food Drive For Filling In The Blanks To Be Held At New Canaan Library

A food drive benefiting Filling in the Blanks, an organization dedicated to fighting childhood hunger, will be held Saturday in New Canaan.

NEW CANAAN, CT — A food drive benefiting Filling in the Blanks, a Norwalk-based organization dedicated to fighting childhood hunger, will be held Saturday at the New Canaan Public Library.

According to information provided by Filling in the Blanks, State Rep. Tom O'Dea will host the event at the library, located 151 Main Street, on the organization's behalf.

The community food drive is scheduled to take place from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Items needed include boxes of cereal, boxes of granola bars, pancake mix and syrup, according to Filling in the Blanks.

"Thank you Rep. O'Dea and thank you to the continued support of our community," the organization said in a statement. "Our meal bag and mobile pantry food programs continue, uninterrupted, through the summer months thanks to supporters like you."
