Handcrafted Wood Furniture Shop to Open in New Canaan

NEW CANAAN, CT— A new handcrafted wooden furniture store will open on Main Street in the space formerly occupied by Varnum's Pharmacy.

Against the Grain is scheduled to open in mid-August, according to the New Canaanite.

The store will sell furniture created by local artists along with high-quality Amish-made furniture.

Cap Cod native Chris Meier spent time doing market research and found New Canaan to be a good fit for his business.
