NEW CANAAN, CT — A controversial private investigator who worked on the O.J. Simpson and Casey Anthony cases has been hired by Fotis Dulos' defense team in the case of disappearance of Jennifer Farber Dulos, Fotis Dulos' estranged wife, reports the News-Times.

Patrick McKenna, who helped the Simpson and Anthony defense teams successfully beat murder charges, has been hired by Fotis Dulos' attorney, Norm Pattis, who has said that the defense team has launched its own investigation into Jennifer Dulos' disappearance.

Patch reached out to a spokesperson for attorney Pattis for a comment but has not yet received a reply.

Fotis Dulos and his ex-girlfriend, Michelle Troconis, have been accused of evidence tampering and hindering a prosecution in connection with the disappearance, and Troconis is back in court on Thursday.

Jennifer Dulos has been missing since May 24, and police said that Fotis Dulos and Troconis were seen soon after the disappearance discarding items - some of which were recovered by police and tested positive for Jennifer Dulos' blood - in the Hartford area.
