Horizons at NCCS Welcomes New Academic Director
Horizons at NCCS builds deep and lasting relationships with the more than 400 K-12 Norwalk and Stamford students it serves.

Horizons at New Canaan Country School is thrilled to announce the appointment of Lavone Roberson as Academic Director.
Lavone is a doctoral candidate in educational leadership and holds a Master's Degree in Elementary Education. Lavone has been a teacher for Norwalk Public Schools for 14 years and has held many leadership positions within the district. Lavone graduated from Horizons at NCCS herself and has served Horizons as both a teacher in our Summer Program and as an academic coach. “Lavone brings a strong passion and commitment for Horizons and deep understanding of the unique contribution Horizons can have to the growth and development of our students,” said Nancy von Euler, Horizons Executive Director. Lavone will oversee the tutoring, academic coaching, data and academic needs of our students.
Founded in 1964, Horizons at NCCS is the first in a nationwide network of programs that are successfully closing the opportunity gap experienced by under-resourced students.
