Horizons At NCCS Welcomes New Board Members
Horizons at NCCS is the first in a nationwide network of programs closing the opportunity gap experienced by under-resourced students.

Horizons appointed Board Chair for the next two years, Sanny Warner said: “We’ve had our first meeting, and the energy and commitment to the Horizons mission was so strong with our seven new board members who bring a diversity of skills and perspective to the organization’s board. We are poised to meet the needs of our students and families during this challenging time.”

Victor Catano is a resident of Shelton and the newly appointed Chief Financial Officer of New Canaan Country School. Rashana Graham of Bridgeport is an educator in the New Haven Public School District and a Lead Teacher for the Horizons Summer Program. Leigh Kennedy of New Canaan is a former Law Associate and volunteer who has been on numerous boards and committees, including New Canaan Country School and the Congregational Church of New Canaan. Eloisa Melendez of Norwalk is the Treasurer of the Connecticut State Democratic Party, Chair of the Norwalk Democratic Party, and a Horizons alumna. Donna Seymour, also a Norwalk resident has joined as the Horizons Family Council Representative. Tamu Lucero of Stamford is the Superintendent of Stamford Public Schools and is affiliated with the National Center for Learning Disability. Vanessa M. Brown-Toussaint, also a resident of Stamford, is an Attorney at Toussaint Legal Consulting, LLC and prior Physician.
Warner is joined by the following officers to serve the non-profit this year: Tiffany Van Elslander is the Vice Chair and Development Co-Chair, Michele Gartland is the acting Secretary and Mara Neafsey is the Treasurer and Finance Chair.
