Inclusive Leadership Pioneer Visits St. Luke's
Kim Davis, a Senior Managing Director and the founder of Teneo Diversity & Inclusion, visits St. Luke's School.
Kim Davis, a Senior Managing Director and the founder of Teneo Diversity & Inclusion, met with St. Luke’sHead of School Mark Davis and Director of Inclusive Excellence & Leadership, Dr. Stephanie Bramlett. The meeting was made possible by St. Luke’s parent and trustee, Chris Wearing, Vice Chairman at Teneo Holdings.
Ms. Davis has a lifetime of experience to share. In addition to the leadership programs she developed at Teneo, Davis is Senior Advisor at the Billie Jean King Leadership Initiative and previously served as President of the JP Morgan Chase Foundation. Additionally, Davis co-founded Springboard, Partners in Cross-Cultural Leadership, a leadership education and consulting company committed to building highly diverse teams. She also help launch Spelman LEADS Center for Leadership & Civic Engagement in collaboration with Spelman College.
“St. Luke’s is out ahead when it comes to inclusivity in the independent school world,” says Bramlett. “It’s incredibly useful to have someone like Kim—who works in an entirely different arena—come share her experiences. She helped us think about what inclusion looks like beyond school. What challenges exist when you bring these practices to a corporate setting? Where are the opportunities?”

Head of School Davis added: “We strive to create an inclusive community and help students build exceptional leadership skills. Kim brought to life how these skills will come into play in the real world. She made clear that employers place high value on young people who can work well in many settings and with very different teams of people. Her visit was reaffirming. She inspired us.”
