KEYS music program receives CT Humanities grant
KEYS, Inc. recently received a $22,500 CT Cultural Fund Operating Support Grant from Connecticut Humanities.

KEYS (Kids Empowered by Your Support) Inc. recently received a $22,500 CT Cultural Fund Operating Support Grant (CTCFOSG) from CT Humanities. This award will launch 2023 with funds needed to further KEYS’ vision of a world where every child has access to the transformative experience of studying and playing music regardless of circumstances.
“We believe that a music education is transformative” says KEYS Executive Director, Karen Cobham. “This grant allows us to connect even more young people to the arts and help cultivate the creative, confident, and collaborative minds of our music students.”
KEYS was one of the 725 arts organizations in Connecticut to receive a CT Cultural Fund Operating Support Grant. Totaling more than $8.5M, these grants are part of a $30.7M investments in arts, humanities, and cultural nonprofits by the CT General Assembly and approved by Governor Ned Lamont. The CTCFOSG help the state’s museums, cultural, humanities, and arts organizations maintain and grow their ability to serve their community and the public.

Support has been provided to KEYS from CT Humanities (CTH), with funding provided by the Connecticut State Department of Economic and Community Development/Connecticut Office of the Arts (COA) from the Connecticut State Legislature.
