Lapham Community Center In New Canaan Expanding Hours
The Lapham Community Center will operate on expanded hours starting this week through October.

NEW CANAAN, CT — The Lapham Community Center will operate on expanded hours April 16 through Oct. 16.
According to the town website, Lapham will now be open Tuesday and Wednesday evenings until 7 p.m., as well as two Saturday mornings each month.

The expanded hours are funded by the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) through a state grant to the town of New Canaan.
New offerings will include live performances, trivia nights, mahjongg, canasta and bridge classes, foreign language for travel and wine-and-craft nights.

Rooms are also available for book clubs, games, meetings and various social gatherings.
Lapham is the community center serving all New Canaan residents ages 21 and older in a friendly and informal setting. Continuing education courses, various health and exercise programs, and numerous special events are offered throughout the year, with the goal of enriching lives and building a stronger community, according to the town.
