Local Fraud Prevention Experts Present At The Inn

A panel of local experts presented tips to help protect seniors at The Inn and in the community from common fraud and scams.

New Canaan – On Thursday, August 9, The Inn – Waveny LifeCare Network’s independent living community – hosted all residents and the greater community for a frank talk about financial exploitation, phone solicitation, identity theft and fraud. An expert panel presented tips to help protect seniors from being victims of fraud and scams. Speakers included: Agnieszka Maciejewski, Assistant VP & Branch Manager at First County Bank; Sergeant Kevin Casey, Investigations Division of New Canaan Police Department; Pete Stair with AARP Fraud Watch Network, and Kelly Lent, Financial Examiner for the Connecticut Department of Banking.
