Local New Balance Shop Helps Raise NCHS Scholarship Funds

Ron Rosenfeld, fit technician at New Balance on Main Street, says the centrally located store is far more than a retailer.

For example, New Balance each August organizes a race to raise money for autism causes, and one year raised enough to pay for the $70,000 fitness area outside at Waveny Park near the softball/baseball/soccer lot.

"We are very, very involved in the community here," Rosenfeld said. "We love giving back."

Next month, on June 15, New Balance will help raise funds for two New Canaan High School scholarships during the "New Canaan Mile" race. See video of Ron, above, for more information.
