NEW CANAAN, CT — The town's Planning and Zoning Commission voted unanimously to approve the renovation and expansion of the existing press box, new restroom facilities and snack bar as well as other amenities including improved traffic flow plans at Dunning Stadium, 11 Farm Road, according to meeting minutes.

Public Works Director Tiger Mann said that the facilities have not been improved in the last 20 years. He is working with ADA, building and traffic consultants. They are currently working on ‘right sizing’ the new facilities and hope to do the construction over the summer, according to meeting minutes.

"The renovations meet the goals of the POCD in that they improve and maintain the excellence of educational and community facilities and improve traffic circulation. Mr. Kriz said that this is a needed renovation to an important school and community athletic facility, that lingering ADA issues will be addressed and that it will be a strong addition to New Canaan’s public facilities. Upon motion of Mr. Kriz and second of Mr. Casavant, the Commission voted unanimously that the renovations are consistent with the POCD," meeting minutes state.
