“Making” Summer Plans

Makers Camp, Pre-AP Computer Science Bootcamp and more offered at St. Luke's this summer.

As St. Luke’s Middle School Makers Camp enters its fifth summer, St. Luke’s designLab Director Michael Mitchell reflects on how it has grown and evolved over the years. Mitchell said, “When we first launched the program in the summer of 2013, the goal was to share some of the most interesting aspects of St. Luke’s Upper School STEM electives with Middle School students. Now the Makers Camp serves as a proving ground for new ideas and technologies, with rising Middle School students getting early access to pilot programs. With the help of curious and inquisitive campers, aspects are then integrated into upcoming designLab courses.”
