Man Assaulted Victim, Pushed Near New Canaan Train Tracks
The man was arrested by police over the weekend.

NEW CANAAN, CT—An Ansonia man was arrested for assault after police got a report of someone crying on the train tracks. Police were sent to the area of the Talmadge Hill train station July 23 around 8:35 p.m., police said.
No one was found in the area, but officers were then dispatched to Park Street near Radio Shack and made contact with the individual.
Police investigated and found the victim was assaulted by Jose Acevedo, 44, and was pushed out of a car near the train tracks, police said.

Acevedo wasn't immediately located and police drafted and got an arrest warrant approved. He was taken into custody by Ansonia Police on the warrant on July 24.
He is charged with third-degree assault, second-degree reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct. He was held on a $1,500 bond.
