Man Charged In New Canaan Burglary: Police

NEW CANAAN, CT — A Norwalk man was charged Friday in connection to a burglary in New Canaan earlier this month, according to police.

In an arrest summary, police said officers were called to a Park Street home on Oct. 3 around 11:30 p.m. after someone forced entry into the home through a door.

After further investigation, including reviewing video surveillance images, police identified David Gannalo, 43, of Norwalk, as a suspect in the burglary.

Officers obtained a warrant for Gannalo's arrest and he surrendered himself to police Friday. He was charged with first-degree burglary at night, third-degree burglary and third-degree criminal mischief.

Gannalo was held on a $10,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court later this month, according to police.
