Merritt Village Human Remain Search Following Protocol: New Canaan Officials
Some residents contend M2 can't own the property because it qualifies as a cemetery, but officials contend the work being done is legal.

NEW CANAAN, CT — A careful dig to find very old burial grounds is being undertaken by M2 Partners as they prepare their Merritt Village project.
Remains of three people were found inside the property line and a pair of residents contend that the property can't be owned by a private company because it's a cemetery, according to the New Canaan Advertiser.
Town Palmer told the Advertiser that the work being done wasn't violating any zoning regulation or special conditions that were placed on M2.
