Mindfulness in Education: In New Canaan—June 9th
St. Luke's offers local parents and teachers a chance to learn more about mindfulness in education.

Stress and anxiety appear to have a firm hold on our school environments. The joy of learning is taking a backseat to the panic of academic performance. It does not have to be this way.
St. Luke's is holding its second annual Mindfulness in Education Conference, Centered Learning: How Mindfulness Fuels Focus & Well-being. The event is co-hosted by New Canaan's Community Mindfulness Project and The Spence School. All parents, teachers, and people just curious about mindfulness are welcome.
The keynote speaker is Dr. Tish Jennings— a pioneer in researching stress in the classroom. Jennings recently presented her findings to the Dalai Lama. There are also several workshops to choose from.
