NCCF/NCSF Host College Scholarship Fundraising Event

The joint fundraising effort is scheduled for Sunday, April 28.

From New Canaan Community Foundation: Every year the New Canaan Community Foundation's Sapienza Scholarship Program and the NCHS Scholarship Foundation struggle to make a small difference for New Canaan High School students and their families who cannot afford to pay for college. Over the years, both organizations have seen a rise in the number of students needing financial assistance, a dramatic rise in the cost of a college education, and a decrease in the impact they are able to make for these deserving kids through their scholarships. In such an affluent town as New Canaan, it is a little-known fact that there is so much need for financial assistance. In an effort to raise awareness of this critical need and increase funds to award more impactful scholarships, NCCF and NCSF will be hosting the first ever "Scholarship Sunday" fundraising campaign on Sunday, April 28th . Jointly they hope to raise an additional $20,000 to be awarded to students this Spring.

NCCF and NCSF have the same goal through their scholarship programs - to award financial aid to New Canaan students to help them afford pursuing their higher education. By building a partnership and increasing collaboration, NCCF and NCSF hope to strengthen their efforts and make more of a difference to New Canaan students needing financial aid. New Canaan is a generous and special community, so please mark your calendars and give anytime now
