He's back home with his family after nearly drowning last week at Chelsea Piers in Stamford.
NEW CANAAN, CT — Adam Khattak, the 5-year-old New Canaan boy who nearly drowned last week at Chelsea Piers in Stamford, is recovering back home with his family in what authorities are calling "very close to a modern-day miracle," reports the Stamford Advocate.
Adam was submerged underwater in the facility's Splash Zone for about four minutes before he was rescued last Thursday. He was listed in critical condition and then critically stable condition at Yale-New Haven Children's Hospital into Saturday.
But he condition rapidly improved over the weekend, according to the publication, which allowed him to return home on Monday.
