New Canaan 4th Of July Fireworks: 2019 Guide, Scheduled Time

NEW CANAAN, CT – July 4th is quickly approaching, which means it's time to fire up that barbecue and find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near you this Independence Day. We gathered up all the fireworks shows, parades and festivals happening in and around New Canaan's so you can start planning now.

Here's what's in store this July 4th in New Canaan:

What: New Canaan Family Fourth of July Celebration 2019
Where: Waveny Park
When: July 4 (rain date July 5, fireworks only)

"The 39th Annual New Canaan Family Fourth of July Celebration will be held on Thursday, July 4, 2019 at Waveny Park (raindate of Friday, July 5- Fireworks Only). The late day activities will include: family picnicking, live music, children's games area, food court with 8 food truck vendors, and a spectacular fireworks display. A complete program of the day's activities will be published in the New Canaan Advertiser. Event passes are necessary to enter the park both by car or walking and may be purchased at the Recreation Department Office, Town Hall, and by New Canaan residents online at www.newcanaan.info The Family Fourth of July Celebration is made possible entirely through contributions from New Canaan residents, the business community, and local civic organizations. A community mailing will be sent out in late May with additional information about the event and where to purchase passes. The 2019 pass fee is expected to be $35 for residents."
