The New Canaan sixth grade black team rolled over Ridgefield to victory. From the start, the teams fought hard, ending the 3rd and 4th quarters tied 27-27 and 48-48 respectively.

James Tower, Harry Mayock and Luke Robinson all put 10 points on the board, with Graham Butler (7), Carter Heagle (5) and Preston Hanrattie (4) also contributing key baskets. Also scoring for New Canaan were Saivinish Akavaramu (2).

In the last 14 seconds of the game, Graham Butler stole the ball from Ridgefield. Luke Robinson sped down the court and shot the ball. Michael Smith rebounded it and scored the winning basket as the buzzer sounded. Fans jumped to their feet and Smith was surrounded by his teammates in seconds, cheering in victory.
