New Canaan Announces Holiday Senior Gift Basket Program

NEW CANAAN, CT — Residents can help spread joy to a New Canaan senior this year through the town's holiday gift basket program.

According to the town Facebook page, residents who participate will be paired with a New Canaan senior who could use a little extra cheer this holiday season.

After signing up here, the Human Services Department will contact participants with more details. They will then be asked to donate a small gift-filled basket to the department by Dec. 5, which will be delivered to an anonymous senior just in time for the holidays.

Those who participate will also receive gift ideas to make assembling the baskets easier and more personal.
