New Canaan Announces Veterans Day Services
New Canaan will thank and honor all those who have served in the United States Armed Forces with a ceremony this week.
NEW CANAAN, CT — The town will hold its annual Veterans Day ceremony Thursday morning in light of the holiday taking place that day.
In a Facebook post, town officials said New Canaan "thanks and honors all those who have served in the United States Armed Forces" during the month of November.
Thursday's ceremony will take place at the God's Acre church on Park Street beginning at 10:55 a.m.

First Selectman Kevin Moynihan, local clergy, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 653, the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Color Guard and a guest speaker will all participate in the ceremony honoring all veterans, according to the post.
