New Canaan Athletes Sign Letters of Intent

Two football players signed their letters Wednesday.

New Canaan High seniors Michael Collins and Lucas Niang signed their national letters of intent at a ceremony Wednesday during National Signing Day.

Collins signed to the University of Pennslyvania and called it a “likely letter” since ivy league schools don’t offer athletic scholarships, according to the New Canaanite. He set state record with 54 touchdown passes this past season.

Niang signed to Texas Christian University over choices such as Miami and Auburn. He said he felt more at home at TCU.
