New Canaan Baseball Garners Votes In Weekly CT High School Poll

NEW CANAAN, CT — Amity Regional maintained its season-long hold on first place in the weekly high school baseball poll, but two other teams earned the top spots on some ballots.

Amity (18-2) was the top pick of five of nine ballots cast, with Tolland collecting three first-place votes and Ellington one.

New Canaan (13-7) didn't crack the top 10 but picked up some votes.

Here are the top 10, with regular season records through May 24:

3. East Lyme (18-2)
4. Tolland (17-2)
5. Ellington (19-1)
6. Waterford (17-3)
7. Holy Cross (19-1)

Also receiving votes: Westhill (17-3), Wilton (15-4), Wethersfield (15-5), Branford (15-5), Lewis Mills (17-3), Northwest Catholic (15-5), East Catholic (15-5), St. Paul (16-4), Southington (15-5), Masuk (15-5), Lyman Memorial (18-2), Oxford (17-3), New Canaan (13-7).
