New Canaan Board Of Finance To Review FY 2026-2027 Budgets During Upcoming Meeting: Agenda
The New Canaan Board of Finance will begin reviewing proposed budgets for the town's 2027 fiscal year during an upcoming meeting.

NEW CANAAN, CT — The Board of Finance will begin reviewing proposed budgets for the town's 2027 fiscal year, including funding plans for various town departments and the New Canaan Library, during a meeting scheduled for Thursday night.
The regular meeting is set to take place at 7 p.m. in the Town Hall meeting room and will be held as a hybrid in-person and virtual meeting, according to an agenda available on the town website.
A central item on the agenda is a review and discussion of budgets for the upcoming fiscal year, including proposed amounts for the Health Department, Human Services and the New Canaan Library among others, according to the agenda.

The board is also scheduled to hear a financial and budget update, including a review and discussion of year-to-date financials as of Dec. 30, 2025.
The update is scheduled to be presented by CFO Anne Kelly-Lenz and Budget Manager Ryan Stacy, according to the agenda.

In addition to in-person attendance, the meeting will be broadcast live on NCTV Channel 79 and streamed over Zoom.
The scheduled discussion comes a week after the Board of Selectmen approved a total expenditure budget of $186.9 million for fiscal year 2026-27, representing an increase of 3.3 percent over the fiscal year 2025-26 budget, according to town officials.
